Armchair Movies
On Tuesday mornings a film is shown in our own "Theatre/Library". These will not include Travel features.
Art Painting - General
For anyone who would like to learn or improve their painting abiities. Specifically for those who love to paint and draw and be part of a friendly group. Various mediums used.
Two classes are available
Book Groups
Limited to 10 members who read one book per month and discuss it. Required to be a member in any City of Casey Book Library, who supply the books. Must book through our Office. A second Book Group started in 2020.
Bridge Class
Learn to play Bridge - includes beginners. The Tutor will explain the rules as the game is played.
Calligraphy
This course starts with foundational script and moves on to uncial, gothic, pointed gothic, italic and copperplate. Once the standard scripts have been completed you work more on your own and discover other scripts.No experience required. Regular attendance is preferred.
Card Making & Papercraft
Learn different techniques to make a card, tips on using equipment and basic tools. The aim is to complete a new card each week. This course is designed to last the full year and regular attendance is vital.
Computer Classes - General information
All computer classes require the use of computers, internet and a workbook.
Computers for Beginners
This is a course for those with no or limited computer experience. It introduces the member to the skills required to operate a computer, use the internet and email. Word processing, computer security and other software are also covered.
Computers - Intermediate
This course is for those with some level of computer skills. It allows the member to learn new skills and expand on what they already know. These can include the use of specific software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel etc.
Cycling
Rides cover 20 to 30 kms depending upon conditions and participants' abilities. Cycle many enjoyable bike paths in Casey and along the extensive Dandenong Creek Trail. Contact Marge Angelucci on 0410 304 308 to find out starting point.
Folk Art
Here you learn the basic paint strokes and then put this into practice. You can decide what you would like to paint and what type of surface you would like to paint on e.g. glass, plastic, wood, vinyl or textiles. Make wonderful gifts.

Learning to Play your Portable Electronic Keyboard
For beginners to those who can read music and have played the piano. Must bring your own keyboard and headphones. The "Fake Book Technique" consisting of playing the melody with the right hand and chord accompaniments with the left hand - helped by the keyboard's abilty to add rhythm and colour.
Line Dancing
Our new class is suitable for beginners and led by an experienced tutor. A healthy and fun exercise to start the week. No partner required. Please contact our office before commencing.
Parchment Craft
Parchment craft (Pergamano) is the art of embellishing and decorating parchment paper through the use of techniques such as embossing, perforating, stippling, cutting and colouring. Create many items such as beautiful cards, gift tags, scrapbook pages, delicate invitation cards and boxes.
Patchwork/Sewing
Great class to keep learning some new techniques in craft and patchwork. Create cushions, quilts and other craft items. The Tutor has many years of experience in all sewing related crafts. Get help with yiour project o have a friendly chat.
Playing a Portable Keyboard

Singing for Fun and Enjoyment.
No singing ability or voice quality checks. If you can sing in the shower, you are welcome. Mainly group karaoke-style songs from the past 50 years. It is not intended to be a choir and perform. Our aim to have fun while exploring old and new songs.
Stitching on Cards
Learn to utilise various cottons, patterns and design very pretty cards.
Table Tennis
Get some exercise and fun at the same time with a small happy group. No experience necessary - all equipment supplied.
